Welcome to Taht's Thoughts

I've heard we have too many podcasts in the millennial generation, so perhaps an antidote is long-form written content. I've written almost daily, but rarely have found a home for such content. I'm hoping this site serves as a more permanent home for my previously nomadic content strewn across the webs. We all carry unique experiences and author our own story – I'd love to share just a bit of mine with you.

Who am I?

Engineer. Philosopher. Fry cook and cashier?

As a software engineer at Meta since 2020, and PhD graduate from the University of Utah – I might fit the mold of your quintessential techie at face value. But before that, I was a cashier at Costco with zero internships leading into grad school. And before that, a late-night fast food manager at Raising Cane's chicken where of all things - I found my wife!

That trajectory has led to a life I find myself living that is far beyond what I thought was possible. Rather than content, it's made me question everything about the human experience. While I'm in no way immune to scrolling social media, I find myself evermore interested philosophy, how people think, and the nature of ourselves and the world we occupy.

What to expect?

Pretty simple: my thoughts. If you find them useful, entertaining, or simply additive to your life, subscribe!
